Female Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) and her chicks (A week later)

Location: Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area, Alameda County, Calif.    Date: May 29, 2005

Here is presumably the same female Wood Duck but with only 8 chicks, a week later at the same location. (Down from 11 ducklings.)
